Unfortunately today’s economic climate has created numerous opportunities for those looking to prey upon desperate homeowners. Some of the most popular scams involve promises to negotiate for the lender on your behalf. These scam artists will ask for money upfront. Typically they charge a few thousand dollars. In most cases these scam artists take the money and run — leaving the homeowner high and dry — having done nothing to help the homeowner or any work negotiating on behalf of the homeowner. Another popular scam is to ask the homeowner to transfer ownership of their home to a third-party. Typically the scam artist will offer the homeowner a few thousand dollars up front and have them sign the home, along with their rights, over to the scammer. Sometimes they promise to rent the home back to the owner and apply the rent payments to the homeowner’s mortgage. This rarely works. Valley Short Sale Negotiators will never ask for money up front. We work with all major lenders. If you decide to hire us, our job is to help sell your home on the open market. The lender will pay our commission, in most cases, and we will never ask you to pay us one penny out of your pocket. If you’re considering selling your home call us at (480) 277-6410. We have the marketing skills, vendors and experience to help you make this difficult situation a little easier.
